About Palace Dumpling

Palace Dumpling is a pan-asian restaurant in Poughkeepsie, New York. It is listed at 50 Winslow Gate Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, which places it among the local businesses of Poughkeepsie that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Poughkeepsie, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 11 AM–9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Palace Dumpling at (845) 337-3588; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is order.mealkeyway.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 4.2 out of 5 on Google from 170 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for pan-asian restaurants in Poughkeepsie. Recent reviews are the best guide.

We started going to the original in Wappingers. So happy they are here. Always great service and the menu is the best.

It was my first time going there and I would definitely go again. I got the pork & shrimp steamed dumplings. I like how it’s close to my college campus and they’re quick. The atmosphere is very beautiful.

Friendly service, good ambience, and amazing food! We got the cucumber salad which was phenomenal. The hot and sour soup was good too, but the dumplings were the star of the show. Pork and cabbage steamed dumplings and the vegetable fried dumplings were great! Very good bang for the buck. Will be coming back!

Review based off 3 visits, 2 for dine in, and 1 for take out. 1st dine in visit, service was lacking/non existent. Person who brought our food had to get us drinks because the server never did. When we asked what drinks they served, he pointed to the front of the restaurant and said β€œwhatever’s in the cooler,” we also asked if they had fountain soda and he said no. (we were sitting on the opposite side of the restaurant from the cooler.) the person who brought us drinks brought us FOUNTAIN SODA after the server said they didn’t have fountain soda. We felt ignored, not checked on, had to get up and walk to the front for drinks, containers, the check. 2nd visit was lovely, we sat near the front which I think made us more visible. 3rd visit was to pick up take out. Not a good experience. 2 orders of dumplings, no sauce to dip them in. After opening up my takeout, I called the restaurant to speak to them directly. When it was abundantly clear that not only The person on the phone, but also the owner, did not care about my complaint or suggestion, I decided to leave a review. The person who answered the phone, August, said he was a manager when I asked to speak to a manager or owner
